Congratulations to the GCHS Academic Team. Ninth and tenth grade students competed in the KAAC JV Challenge hosted at Daviess County High School on Saturday, November 6.
Overall, the GCHS Academic Team placed third in total number of school points, behind excellent and well-rounded teams from Daviess County and Owensboro High School. The quick recall team placed fourth, besting Breckinridge County but being eliminated in a match with a fast-on-the-buzzers Henderson County High School team.
The following students received awards in individual assessments:
Lainie Anderson- second place in Language Arts and fourth place in Arts & Humanities
Coleman Bryant- sixth place in Social Studies
Laslen Hatfield- fifth place in English Composition
Gabriel Secora- fifth place in Arts & Humanities
Landon Shiarella- fifth place in Social Studies
Eldon Williams- fifth place in Science
