Kentucky author Leigh Anne Florence recently visited Lawler with her muse - Woody the Wiener Dog. The kids loved their visit and her inspiration!
Eleven GCHS students have been selected to perform in the 2017 WKU Honor Band on the campus of Western Kentucky University. These musicians will perform with students from the tri-state area under the baton of guest conductors from January 26-28th, with a final concert on Saturday afternoon. We are proud of these students for their hard work!

GCMS will host Major Robert Carter of the Madisonville Police Department and KY Center for School Safety for a special public presentation Wednesday, Jan. 11, 5 pm. It's a don't miss session as Major Carter will be at the school earlier in the day to speak with each grade level about bullying and digital citizenship. Be in the know, along with your children.

WBKO’s Poppy took a field trip to Lawler Elementary this week to recognize students and staff on becoming Distinguished/A School of Distinction.
Lawler is now in the running for the Grand Prize Drawing for $2,000 to be used to promote leadership activities and/or ‘Leader in Me’ initiatives and programs. Congratulations, Lions!
