
This month, 4th, 5th and 8th grade G/T students have been given the opportunity to visit the GC Technology Center and explore CTE classes in 3D Printing, Marketing, and Health Science courses through hands-on experiences.





It was a great weekend for GCHS Band as the group qualified for state and will perform Sat, Oct. 29, 11:30 CT in Richmond. Also, check out Jackson Kane - musician, football, and soccer player - performing with the band during halftime of Friday’s game!





Judge-Exec Kevin Henderson was joined by students and community today to sign a proclamation for Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 24 - 28. Each day will have a theme to get students involved in “being the best they can be because they live Drug-Free!”

It was a great day of music, performance, and college life as GCHS and GCMS 8th graders participated in the District Honors Choir at Campbellsville University.



The GCHS Marching Band has made history, reaching the finals of the Bands of America Central Ohio Regionals. This is the first time in school history that the GC Band has made finals at a BoA event – a tremendous accomplishment for the program.





Thanks to GCHS Youth Services Center for bringing the Arrive Alive Tour in for virtual reality simulations today. Students were able to practice defensive driving skills, both sober but distracted, also under the influence.





Congratulations to Teresa Jarboe, selected as KMEA’s 4th District High School Teacher of the Year! Jarboe has been with the district for more than a decade, and the choral music program has grown significantly and excelled under her leadership.


A BIG thank you to Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Medicaid for the generous donation of $10,000 to our elementary schools. Each school will receive $2,500 for new PE/sports equipment as part of Anthem’s ongoing commitment to promote physical activity and healthier lifestyles for KY children.


Straight out the gate GCHS Band is named Grand Champs at the Franklin-Simpson Invitational their first competition of the season! They also earned First Place and the Spirit Award to cap off a big weekend.

Congratulations to the GCHS Chamber Orchestra, selected to perform at the 2023 KMEA Professional Development Conference! This is a very competitive and prestigious honor for the students and their directors, Adam and Stacy French. They will perform February 9 in Louisville.
