6th-grade students in Mr. Sarver's social studies class were learning about the Han Dynasty yesterday. Did you know the oldest known piece of paper with writing on it was found in the ruins of a watchtower within the Han Dynasty? #rebuildingthefoundation



Mrs. Franich & Ms. Lindsey's 6th-grade co-taught math class was learning about equivalent expressions yesterday! They stood when they agreed or disagreed on an answer, displayed answers non-verbally & shared answers with a partner. #rebuildingthefoundation





Mrs. Hodges introduced her 6th-grade students to fossils in science class yesterday. One student even brought one he found to show the class! #rebuildingthefoundation





Students were back at it yesterday after a wonderful Thanksgiving break! They learned about radicals in Mr. Logsdon's class, procedures & making predictions in Mrs. Smith's class & expectations with differentiated assignments in Mrs. Nash's class. #rebuildingthefoundation

Students in our GT program have been learning about the legislative process. Senator Meredith & Representative Heavrin came to GCMS today to speak about bills they have sponsored. #rebuildingthefoundation





Mrs. El Masri's science classes worked hard on their lab yesterday modeling & comparing different types of bird beaks in order to make inferences about habitats. Students were challenged to create a bird beak that would pick up the most seeds. #rebuildingthefoundation
